Perfect and new go to for any time I want to bring my girlfriend here to treat her right. Very easy to set up reservation online complete with Rose and vase which they gift you while you walk out the door! The interior is very classic and lots to look at, did not have a chance to check out the upstairs this time. The service was great and attentive, our server Keith was awesome and helped us pick some things on menu. Food was great, I definitely recommend the Beef Wellington. I hope to be back soon!

This iconic mid-town Detroit gem has been meticulously restored to its 1894 grandeur. The meal service is impeccable, and the food is delicious. It's a unique place for a special event, and the customer service personnel are very responsive with clients. The Whitney is a must-visit, if only for a drink in the Ghost Bar (and yes, the ghost *has* been sighted!). Your dining experience will be enhanced by the overall ambiance, including the beautiful piano accompaniment. Check out all the named rooms for a variety of dining experiences. There is valet parking (strongly suggest using it) available, and expect to pay for the luxury of the entire dining experience; it's well worth it for a once-in-a-lifetime visit to a Detroit lumber baron's stunningly restored mansion!

We enjoyed an afternoon tea at The Whitney for our anniversary this past December. The building is beautiful and there is lots to explore, so come a bit early for your reservation and have a drink up at the bar on the top floor. It was jam packed when we attended on a Sunday in early December and we had to wait quite awhile in a packed lobby while the tea was set up, but it was worth the wait. Staff were also working extremely hard to get everything set up, so you could not really complain. Basically, people having brunch in the same room as the tea earlier took longer than expected. Anyway, once seated, the tea and service were outstanding. We had a beautiful table by the window and did not feel rushed at all. Food was delicious.
